We're going to walk 3.50 miles for climate action!
What's 350? Scientists believe 350 parts per million (ppm) of carbon in the atmosphere is the safe level of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere for the long-term sustainability of mankind on Earth. The higher the carbon levels rise, the worse Earth's environment becomes for us... and we're currently far above the 350 level--- we're at 390 ppm and rising!
October 24 is the 350.org International Day of Climate Action... thousands of groups around the world are demanding climate action in Copenhagen this December when world leaders gather to discuss climate change. Join us in Garfield Park to be a part of this amazing demonstration and call to action!
Registration begins at 9:30 am at the Corporate Pavilion outside the MacAllister Center (park at the MacAllister Center). Stay afterward for Indiana Living Green's "Green Scene" fair (http://tiny.cc/ilggreenscene)!
Bring yourself, family and friends, kids and strollers, etc. Register to walk or run for climate action at http://www.350.org/indy350
