Here is the latest funding opportunity the deadline is quickly approaching; Any interest in applying on behalf of Indianapolis?

SARE GRANT FUNDING OPPORTUNITY

The deadline for 2009 Youth Grant proposals was Friday, January 30, 2009.

2009 Youth & Youth Educator Sustainable Agriculture Grant (Word)

NCR-SARE announces the 2009 Call for Proposals for Youth & Youth Educator Sustainable Agriculture Grants. These grants are an exciting new part of the Farmer Rancher Grant program. Their purpose is to provide opportunities for youth in the North Central Region to learn more about Sustainable Agriculture. There are two options:

1. YOUTH GRANTS. These are grants for on-farm research, demonstration, or education projects by youth ages 8-21. Research and demonstration projects are for hands-on efforts to explore sustainable agriculture issues and practices. Education projects can involve teaching others about sustainable agriculture or attending a sustainable agriculture conference, workshop, or camp. $400 maximum.

2. YOUTH EDUCATOR GRANTS. These are grants for educators to provide programming on sustainable agriculture for youth. $2,000 maximum.

Thank you for becoming a member of AGI, you are most welcome here. Feel free to make it your place and invite your friends to take a look and see what they think.

What are your strong points in environmental awareness or curiousities? Is there a particular arena or field we could help empower you with? AGI has a staff that is able to offer full support and assistance in environmental work and issues, community and economic development, advertising, promotions, web design, and programming. Have a question or a request. Dont hesitate.

The idea here is to support you in helping to support communities and Indiana as a whole to make the change over to more sustainable practices and equilibrium.

Besides the resource based environmental arenas of: Land, Water, Air, Energy, Policy, and Advocacy. There are many other fields that are interconnected to sustainabiity and the green paradigm including recreation, health/wellness, agriculture, community development, economic development, products, arts, and humanities and many more.

You can share your awareness and activities in any of the above through many facets this site offers and more soon to come. Chat around, friend up like minded individuals, post, blog, make groups, are just some of the ways in which you may interact and utilize this site to tool your work and passions.

We are all in this together and together we can help make things better.
Kootoss to you for participating in this great work
