About Me:
I have an all natural body care and aromatherapy business called Peace of Mind Naturals. I make all of the products by hand using only fair-trade and organic ingredients. Peace of Mind is proud to be vegan friendly!

Hello Carli, pleasure to have you here.
Thank you for becoming a member of AGI, you are most welcome here. Feel free to make it your place and invite your friends to take a look and see what they think. Hopefully they will join the site and participate!

We have created several help documents so to help you get the most out of www.AGreenerIndiana.com.

1- Check out the getting started guide HERE

2- There are many ways to communicate and each way has it’s advantages. Check out the different ways you can communicate on the site HERE

3- If you are having any other problems be sure to look at our help section HERE

Your expertise is needed on this site! What are your strong points in environmental awareness? What are your curiosities? Is there a particular arena or field we could help empower you with? AGI's members are specialists in many areas and AGI has a staff that is able to offer full support and assistance in environmental work and issues, community and economic development, advertising, promotions, web design, and programming. If you have a question or a request. DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK!

The idea here is to support you in helping to support communities and Indiana as a whole to make the change over to more sustainable practices.... To help everybody learn how they can improve all of the little things so that together we make a BIG DIFFERENCE.

There are many groups you can join on www.AGreenerIndiana.com. Besides the resource based environmental arenas of: Land, Water, Air, Energy, Policy, and Advocacy, there are many other groups that are interconnected to sustainability and the green paradigm including recreation, health/wellness, agriculture, building and design, community development, economic development, products, arts, humanities and many more.

You can share your awareness and activities in any of the above through the many facets this site offers and more soon to come. Chat around, friend up like minded individuals, post, blog, make and form groups. These are just some of the ways in which you may interact and utilize this site to further your work and explore your greener passions.

We are all in this together and together we can help make things better.

Kootoss to you for participating in this great work!

Plastic packaging — it’s not child’s play

Renee,

Kids’ toys are always packaged with at least 3 different kinds of plastics. Can I recycle these?

Amber

Amber,

Recycling is definitely not child’s play — it seems like the rules are always changing. The good news is that our local recycling facilities have really grown up and now [...]

Small appliance recycling

Renee,

Recently you sent us to see your husband Chris at Vogel Appliance to see if he could fix our toaster oven. Chris was quite helpful. Unfortunately, he determined that our “Frigidaire” is made by some other entity in China and parts are not available.  The old toaster oven will [...]

(Doggie) chew on this

Renee,

Any ideas for good dog chew toys that aren’t plastic (or my shoes)?

Amber

Hey Amber!

I hear there’s a new breed of dog just in time for the holiday. It’s a mix between a setter and a pointer and they call it a Poinsetter.

We’ll call today’s piece [...]
