Natalie:
I am so sorry about your fight with breast cancer. My Mother has fought and was a survivor for over 20 years when signs came back. I have several friends that have gone through it, and some that have died. I believe Breast cancer is one of the most OUT cancer, with all the pink ribbons everywhere.
I myself am a survivor of cervical, uterine and ovarian cancer, and just today a good friend died of complications of lung cancer that went to her. Do you know the color of those ribbons? There are no Susan G. Komen events for these no dog foods, no tools, no real material, yet the chances of a woman surviving ovarian cancer is so slim because of the lack of research and lack of test and the symptons are so masking od others signs, that by thetime they are diagnosed more often then not many die.

I use my Facebook to correspond with my nieces and nephews, and do not belong to LinkedIn. I joined Greener Indiana because I truely believe in the enviromental cause.

Are the VHS and Beta videos recyclable with other plastics? In other words, can I put them in my recyclables box for Ray’s?

Daiva, darling, I hope you don’t mind that I use Terms of Endearment when I tell you that no, you should not put your VHS tapes [...]

Pay-as-you-throw

Renee, one thing has always bothered me about our priorities about trash and recycling.  Why is trash pick up free (well, paid by our tax dollars) and recycling pick up not (although we can be honest — this is a low cost service)?  It would seem to me that this [...]

Wax on …

Renee,

Where can I recycle waxed cardboard boxes like the ones frozen meals come in?

Thanks,

Cyrena

Cyrena,

I’m no Mr. Miyagi, but I don’t think that’s wax on your cardboard box. Many food and beverage boxes are now coated with a thin layer of plastic, not wax. And, yes, both [...]
