Eating healthy on a budget

Keep it going

I was grocery shopping yesterday when I really noticed a change in prices of the foods I normally buy. I was a little upset because gas prices are high now food prices are rising. Pretty soon, the cost of living is going to be so high its going to be impossible to be a single mother. You almost really need both full time incomes to survive. But we have no choice but to keep it going.

I like to eat cheap. That’s kind of my thing, the cheaper the better. I make it a…

The truth about over eating on the Holidays

The truth about over eating on the Holidays.

Here comes Christmas right around the corner. I can perfectly describe what is going to happen to my diet on Christmas. It’s going to be put to the test. That’s ok though because Christmas is only one day and my nutrition is a lifetime. Because I know the truth about over eating, I’m one step ahead. All sewn up

Hi Renee,

Do you know a place that re-uses fabric from sewing projects?  Some may be several yards, usable for making an outfit, others are scraps from projects.  This would be most helpful for my closet cleaning!

Thanks.

Recycle this!

Dear Renee -

What is the best way to get involved and have an impact on what the city of Indianapolis decides regarding recycling?

I find it ironic to see all of the new billboards around town noting the problem when the solutions haven’t seemed to follow.

Thanks!

Have a seat

I have several expired car seats that can no longer be used. These things are huge and I feel bad dumping them in the garbage, but I can’t find any information about recycling them. Any ideas? Thanks!

Kristin
