"I remember Bill Graham, was he a tech major? I can see his face clearly as if I had often contact with him. That is sad about him passing. I am sure it is hard losing a good friend. I remember Joe Collins, or at least the name. Nice to see that you…"

I remember Joe Collins, or at least the name. Nice to see that you are a stay at home dad. LeAnn Vaught is extremely successful in her career and her husband stays at home with the kids as well. Your kids are cute and little. I have three myself...21, 19 and 17. I am blessed to have wonderful kids. You might remember that I moved to Miami and I moved back 5 years ago. and I remember what a "Halloween Party" nut you are. Remember you dressing up as a girl and coming into the health club?

I’m dreaming of a green Christmas

No matter how snowy it is where you live, you can have a green Christmas — even though the season is rife with over-consumption. Each year in the U.S., approximately $75 billion is spent on Christmas gifts, 1.9 billion cards are sent and 20.8 million trees are cut. This year, [...]

Lose the plastic tablecloth

Renee,

Are plastic table coverings recyclable?  We were in charge of recycling at a recent parish festival and were able to recycle all the usual items: cardboard, glass, cups, cans, and bottles.  But when we were asked about the table coverings, we weren’t sure how to answer and thought you [...]

Recycling and bicycling: helmets

Renee,

I recently bought a new bicycle helmet to replace my “expired” helmet.  My old helmet cannot be reused by anyone, but can old bicycle helmets be recycled somewhere?

Rita

I dedicate this Ask Renee to the Indiana cyclists who have recently lost their lives while riding and their [...]
