Renegade Tree Planter - aka boBBy Acorn

In addition to composting over a hundred bags of the neighborhoods soon to be burned or landfilled leaves for the garden, I have been planting trees on abandoned and/or foreclosed properties for the past 3 years. This occurs on moonless nights in late Feb thru April and again in mid October and November. As Canadian Gordon Lightfoot once lyriced, "be careful while bending the law." Thus far in 2009: Nineteen (19) at night with stealth and 5 in the daylight with permission.

Like the renegade tree planting, what stealth, does anyone help you?? Is it all acorn tree plantings, assuming from your aka. We have so many seedlings growing all over our urban nature habitat, acorn, maple, cedar, ash, apple, prunus, mulberry, redbud, thorn, that I pot up, let mature, then plant, or sell(cheap) everywhere I can. It is amazing what will grow, when you let it, mow less, on a small urban plot.
One of these days we might have solar panels, in the meantime part of our roof will be straw. We can always reuse it in the gardens, along with all the leaves, that we kinda steal from a foreclosed property, and ask for from other property owners.
Looks like your rain garden could use some rain...like ours, and everyone else! lol
