Help Set aside land around the Grand Canyon - Easy action is required

The Grand Canyon is a HUGE tourist attraction that is responsible for 12,000 jobs and draws people from around the world.  Chuck Deppert with the PEW foundation is working to nudge the Federal Government to set aside 1 million acres adjoining the Grand Canyon.

Towards Building New Communities

While some of our decisions may be made at random, more often, when deliberating a course of action, we are attempting to gain satisfaction from the resulting chain of events.  What that satisfaction might be can vary widely for different individuals and in different circumstances, and there are always trade-offs.

Why I grow food

Shh!   Keep this to yourself, but I feel better in the kitchen garden.  My little plot of earth inspires me to get up each day to cultivate, tend and nuture.  When I am considering an opportunity it is always measured against the progress of the permaculture patch. Each day I am rewarded by growing something that we consume.   

 

This year I am pledging to grow more celery leaf so that each crockpot meal has the taste of fresh.

The Death and Rise of Communities

In a previous post I said that I believe we have a purpose, and that is to share our lives with one another, to have faith in each other and to forgive each other.



What tangible goals can be worked toward with the mind of fulfilling such purpose?
