My water heater rises in the east.

This is my first Blog, so I hope I am blogging right.

It has been four days of cloudy rainy weather I can tell that the Solar tank temperature is down because I have to turn the handle for the faucet all the way to the left in the shower to get the water hot enough. That means my water heater is running or just about to. It has had a pretty easy life though. It was installed in May and I doubt that it has fired half a dozen times since then. Preserving Indiana Concord Grapes

According to the Ball Blue Book of preserving in the Soft Spread section on page 33

To yeild about 3 pints

2 quarts of grapes

1/2 cup water and 6 cup sugar

Top prepare pulp: Separate pulp from skins of grapes, mince skins. Cook skins gently 15 to 20 minutes, adding your sweet grape juice Cook pulp without water until soft. Press through a sieve or food mill to remove seeds.

So, Sunday will be the 1st day of week number two on my first compost. It is amazing to watch it change from day to day. The compost bin I built holds quite a bit and day one I filled it to the brim. As the days have past, I have watched it seemingly shrink. When I mix it up whether it is to add some kitchen scraps to the middle or just to give it some air, it seems to be smaller and smaller. It is almost as if it is decomposing faster than I would have ever imagined!

Bamboo \ Hemp WILL SAVE US ALL !!

I have said many many times in my life Bamboo and Hemp can save us all. Both can grow fast clean our air replace paper products so no need to cut down trees. In brazil talk them in to reforesting the land with profit makeing crop, if they have to scrape the earth of trees use a crop of both. Hemp is harmless also can be made into oil and fireplace logs ect. Now I have a question ? when and were will we be able to recicle batteries and ligthers. Thanks EARTH POWER TO ALL !!!
