More seasons of fun in the sun at any one of Indiana's bountiful number of lakes could be in peril, at any time. Peril not just for the lucky few that own lakefront property, but also for the ones that are considered the public, and have limited access to many public waters. I did not eat turkey on thanksgiving, did you? We are not planning to on Christmas either, unless it is a free range(organic)one from a reputable free range farm. Agricultural intensification is one of the major drivers of global environmental degradation. Its impacts on birds, past, and present(especially farm birds such as red wings, blackbirds, starlings, grackles) are well known and include population declines in Europe and North America... of bottom feeding fish too. These are indicator species.

How does Wal-Mart keep getting away with convincing reporters and environmentalists that it is serious about sustainability? It took Jack Neff, who writes for Advertising Age, to point out the hypocrisy of Wal-Mart¹s environmental policy. Of course, he did it quite subtly but the point is clear.
