A Greener Indiana

Everybody can do something to make a greener Indiana

Unitarian Universalist Church Bloomington, A Green Sanctuary

About three years ago, the Unitarian Universalist Church in Bloomington, IN 2120 North Fee Lane, Bloomington, IN 47408
(812) 332-3695, met all the recquirements of the UUA (Unitarian Universalist Association) to be designated as a Green Sanctuary. This was achieved through the work of the Green Sanctuary Task Force on Global Climate Change - http://www.uubloomington.org/invl/justice/greenSanctuaryTF.php

Visit the website to learn more about the Green Sanctuary, to download an application to see what requirements were met to receive the designation, what projects are on going and how they are working to assist the UU Bloomington Church to move toward becoming a greener and more sustainable community.

This task force has also been a sponsor of "Simply Healthy: Creating Sustainable Communities" Simply Living Fair and Wellness Expo - http://www.indianaholistichealth.net/wellnessexpo.htm. This year "Simply Healthy" plans to have two keynote presenters, one is Diana Leafe Christian, Editor of Communities Magazine, who will be presenting a talk on "Eco-Villages, Who they Are, Where They Are and Why They Are Important To the Rest of Us" through a visual display of sustainable communities around the globe.
