We bought the wind turbine from a man in Wisconsin, and he had local help in installing it. It has become quite a sore subject, though. It hasn't been working since October, because we can't get him out here to fix it. Eric Cotton (bless his heart!) has taken on the job now, but it's been slow going this winter, with no breaks in the weather. We never really set out to be environmentally-minded folks, but we just have kind of worked our way into more and more areas - but there is always room to improve! Have a great day!

I also am enjoying the ideasinfo for renewable energy, that is a very big problem that will eventually harm us all..one way or another, renewable and sustainable are going to be the only way to go, glad we are on the boat together! I have a question about spent batteries. For years I took them to the Public Library, but they discontinued collecting them there. Are places there I can drop off spent batteries without having to drive to a tox drop location or wait for a tox away day?
I was wondering about recycling plastic hangers. I searched the Indiana Living Green website, and if I am not mistaken there is information about wire hangers. How about all plastic ones, and the plastic ones with metal hook tops? I work at a resale shop, and we end up with bags [...]
